Young Brisbane soprano Morgan Balfour, blessed with a name, a voice and a stage presence destined to go far, spread her own web of enticement with a bracket of songs full of wise counsel.

A young singer in the midst of all this might have been eclipsed, but not so soprano Morgan Balfour. With a lovely, highly listenable voice and outstanding responsiveness to word and mood, she was thoroughly wonderful in songs by Walton, Britten and Prokofiev.

Morgan Balfour sang with an attractive, clear voice with a particularly bright upper register.
